Created in the golden era of North Carolina hip hop, Jamla Records' The Away Team proves that emcee-producer pairs can still produce consistently exceptional and innovative music track after track.
The Away Team is a hip hop duo consisting of emcee Sean Boog and producer Khrysis, introduced to each other by Jamla Records/It's A Wonderful World Music Group founder and CEO, 9th Wonder. Pennsylvania-born Sean Boog's dexterity behind the microphone is showcased in his versatility and breadth. In addition to his extensive work with group mate Khrysis and North Carolina collective Justus League, Sean Boog has since released two solo projects, Light Beers Ahead of You and Phantom of the Jamla, both of which receiving positive feedback throughout major media sources. From his gritty street anthems like "Gettin' Mine" to his impassioned storytelling in "Fight the Feeling," Sean Boog continues to prove his widespread appeal and impeccable lyricism.
Khrysis provides production for The Away Team, and is most well known for his samples of records with intricate melodies and diverse drum beats.
